About
I am a board-certified physician in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine, currently serving as Professor of Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. A lifelong Connecticut resident, I earned my MD and MPH from UConn in 2006 and later completed a Master’s in Clinical Research during my training in New York. Over the past 19 years, I’ve provided inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care, led Infection Control at UConn John Dempsey Hospital, and taught medical students and residents—earning multiple teaching awards. I’ve published over 60 peer-reviewed articles, served on state public health committees, and was Past President of the Connecticut Infectious Diseases Society. I also volunteer at a student-run homeless clinic, co-chair a Yale course, and have spoken nationally on infectious disease topics. During COVID-19, I advised the Connecticut Governor as a scientific workgroup co-chair. I remain active in public health outreach and community service.
